This photo was taken by Storky at Lunas earlier on in the year. It ended up being a hoax. The swell was reading 8 to 10 feet on the charts but was lucky to be 6 foot with the odd bigger one…
We rechecked the charts that night and seen a swell about two days out… After getting hoaxed we made the chose to get a start on the 12 hour drive.
Turned out that swell we seen a few days out was pumping. (all the photos of Toby Player in the new movement mag was that day spewing!)

This photo was taking by Steve Wall on the same day I scored the cover of Riptide on a swell that back off really fast! From 10 foot to 4 foot crazy, by the afternoon we surfed Aussie Pipe! Steve clean up this day! Yob done Enjoy DM

This photo was taken about 40 minutes from my house on a crazy little rock ledge and it’s safe to say it pumped all day! The photo was shot in early february by Mark Thompson. (Stork) And the only reason I took of late is because I had Nick Bannehr screaming at me to go! Haha (All photographers are the same) I got totally cooked!!

Double angles! the fish eye shot was smashed by the man him self Stork which is a huge effort because of how crazy this wave is! About a month ago Phil Gallagher got sucked over here and broke a few ribs trying to do the same thing! The second photo was taken by Zander Snap, Zander man is a great land animal haha but always seems to get the goods! Its so rad having mates who have the skills cheers boys!

Golden brown was the subject title when this hit my inbox thanks to Steve Wall. I think the colours in this are amazing! This pic was taken by Steve on sunrise and could easily say this was one of the best swells I have ever seen hit this reef! There was a little crew with mainly just local lads like Pence, Matty M and a man that’s always in your face Eli Beach haha.

This photo was taken by Nick Bannehr in early Feb/11 on the south coast, There was a pretty huge crew this day with the likes of Michael Novy, Mooty Young , Dallas Singer and a heap of groms and it was super slow! Which is always a bit painful when you can wait up to 30 minutes for a wave… Also in this photo shooting flash was Mark Thompson and Steve Wall down the line shooting 50mm.

NB always seems to put his body on the line to get amazing stuff like this! The same day Nick scored a Unite add for Novy and a double page for Dallas.
